On January 30th, Carlee and Skyler’s home caught fire. Skyler attempted to put out the flames but suffered severe burns covering 27% of his body. Meanwhile, Carlee woke up to the smell of smoke and was able to get herself and their kittens to safety.

While they are grateful to be alive, the fire and smoke have caused extensive damage to their home, leaving their future uncertain. Right now, their priority is Skyler’s recovery as he undergoes treatment for his burns.

Skyler was supposed to head out the same day to visit his family in D.C., and get some quality time with his father who is also undergoing hospitalization and facing some unfortunate circumstances.

This has been an unimaginably difficult time for Carlee and Skyler. As they focus on healing and finding stability, we are asking for any support you can offer. Donations will go toward Skyler’s medical expenses, essential living costs, and assistance with relocation as they rebuild their lives.
