My sister’s and I are making this GoFundMe for our daddy. We wanted to update you all.

Our daddy has slowly showen signs of declining. His stage 4 melanoma of the brain has progressed. It has now become Leptomeningeal disease . It is in his central nervous system. His most recent MRI indicated that LMD has spread rapidly. This new progression has caused out daddy to decline cognitivly. Our Mom is his caretaker 24/7. With both of them not working it has definitely taken a tole on them mentally and financially.

Our daddy is in so much pain daily due to inflammation of the menigies. He also has venous congestion and venous edema due to this horrific disease. Which indicates blood has trouble flowing back out of the brain. Which caues him to swell in his neck and face. This pain is very debilitating. It causes worsening memory issues. He has been hospitalized 6 times over the past 3 months. He had a VP shunt placed in hopes to help with the pressure in his head, but he has had no relief. He also recently had an infusion of zirabef which is to help with the swelling of his head and neck. He is currently in the hospital as we speak.. He was admitted December 2nd. Prayerfully he will be able to continue these infusions as an outpatient . The first one has helped him with the pain. It is not a cure, but simply for comfort and palliative. LMD is very painful, and terminal. We ask that you please one your hearts to our family at this time. Our mama needs all the financial help she can get. This is a very devastating and difficult time for them both. Grieving someone who is still alive is ultimately heartbreaking. We will not give up, we will hold onto our faith. We pray God heals him here on earth , but if that is not his will then we ask for him to be merciful with our daddy's pain. He has been fighting this beast since 2019. He has been one strong warrior. Lord we need you . Daddy also wants nothing nore thannto go to the Mountains. We are trying our beat to make that happwn for him. Our mom has had to rescheduled it twice due to him beung hospitalized. Your love and support will alaao helo us to financially take him. We have it planned for the first weekend in January.
