Love & Support for the Tatone Family and Angela's Cancer Fight (Again!)

Our dear friend, Angela, is one of the strongest people we know. Over the past eight years she and her family (husband Aaron, daughter Adelaide (8) and son Austin (3)), have woven an intricate web of medical hurdles. Two complicated, high-risk pregnancies. Two children born prematurely (one at 27 weeks, one at 34 weeks) with approximately twenty total weeks spent in NICU care. Therapy appointments for both children for years to overcome development obstacles. Her husband, Aaron, was diagnosed with a rare cancer called Dedifferentiated Liposarcoma in 2022 and went through a very complex surgery and recovery to remove an eight-inch tumor from his abdomen along with completing a year of non-traditional chemo treatment. And the countless medical appointments that inevitably accommodate even just one of the these that would make any calendar seem unmanageable.

On top of all of that, six years ago, she herself was diagnosed with breast cancer at 38 years old. She faced her diagnosis head-on, with incredible courage, strength and grace. Diagnosed with a very fast growing and spreading form of breast cancer, she endured a highly aggressive treatment which included both chemotherapy and additional targeted therapy drugs, a double mastectomy, and everything that came with it. We were all so relieved when she emerged victorious, ready to embrace life again.

Unfortunately, her cancer has returned. And this time it's different. It's more complicated. It’s a devastating blow. Not only because Angela must face this battle again, but because it’s even more aggressive than before. It has spread to multiple lymph nodes and formed a new mass, requiring an even more intense treatment plan. This means up to 30 rounds of chemotherapy and additional targeted therapy drugs, more surgery, radiation, and likely long-term hormone therapy. There will be many aspects of this treatment that will inevitably affect her for the rest of her life.

Imagine having to face this nightmare not once, but twice. Imagine the physical and emotional toll all these hurdles have taken on her, the disruption to family life, and the sheer exhaustion of it all. Angela is feeling all of this – the anger, the devastation, the sadness of having to undergo chemo with their two young children. She’s overwhelmed and she’s scared.

But even in the face of this immense challenge, Angela’s strength shines through. She is determined to fight, to survive, and to overcome this obstacle. She is, as she says herself, one of the strongest people we know.

That's why we're rallying around her now to provide her with the love, support, and the financial assistance she needs to focus on healing. While Angela's spirit is unwavering, the financial burden of medical treatment can be overwhelming. Medical bills, lost income from time off work, and other unexpected costs can add up quickly. And after eight long years, they are feeling these effects.

We want to alleviate some of this burden for the family so Angela can focus on what matters most right now: her health, her family, and her fight.

Here’s how you can help.

Donate: Any amount you can contribute will make a significant difference. Your generosity will directly support Angela in covering medical expenses and other essential needs during this difficult time.

Share: Please share this GoFundMe page with your network. The more people who know about Angela's story, the more support we can gather.

Pray: Angela is a firm believer in the power of prayer, and we ask that you keep her, her husband, her children, her care team and her support network in your thoughts and prayers.

Angela is not alone in this fight. She has an army of friends, family, and supporters standing beside her, ready to lift her up every step of the way. Let's show her the true meaning of community and help her conquer this challenge once again.

Thank you for your love, support, and generosity. Together, we can help Angela beat cancer, again. #Noonefightsalone
