Support Nicole’s Family with Terminal Brain Cancer
Heidi McArthur is organizing this fundraiser on behalf of Nicole and Tate Belcher.
Dear friends, family, and community,
I am reaching out to ask for your love and support.
Our dear sister, mother, and friend, Nicole McArthur, was recently diagnosed with Glioblastoma, an aggressive cancerous tumor in her brain. After a whirlwind of procedures and uncertainty, Nicole received the unimaginable news that she may only have months to live.
On August 20th, 2025, Linda, Nicole's mom, woke up to a horrible text message with a photo of an MRI that had a visible, very large tumor circled.
Nicole had been behaving unusually at work for a couple of weeks (showing up to work with only one shoe!) and just generally being confused and not her normal quick self. After being sat down and told she had to go to the doctor before coming back to work, Nicole, in true Nicole fashion, went to the chiropractor.
The chiropractor sent her directly to the emergency room where they did an MRI and she was flown immediately to Vancouver for an emergency brain surgery to remove the tumor.
80% of the tumor was removed early morning on August 21st.
Then, on August 28th, we got the horrible news from pathology that her cancer is Glioblastoma, an aggressive tumor.
The first appointment with oncology is on September 17th, 2025. We will learn about the next steps then. She will be receiving short-term disability (the max is $700 a week), which is not enough to cover all of her expenses, and she is currently unable to work. That said, her employers have been extremely supportive and generous, for which we will be forever grateful.
You may be familiar enough with the family to know that Nicole’s husband was lost in 2023 in a tragic motorcycle crash.
Your donation—no matter the size—will help cover medical bills, household expenses, and the many unexpected costs that come with fighting such an aggressive illness. Just as importantly, your kindness will give this family the chance to focus on what truly matters: Nicole’s treatment and Tate’s ability to move forward.
Thank you for standing with Nicole and Tate during this journey.
Every contribution, share, and prayer means the world to them.
With deep gratitude and love,
Nicole and her whole family.
