Hello, my name is Kristen, and I’m the proud mom of our sweet baby girl, Lillian (we call her Baby Lilly). She is only 2 months old, and she has already shown us more strength and courage than I could have ever imagined.
Yesterday, Lilly started having trouble breathing, became very lethargic, and stopped eating. We rushed her to the hospital, and before I could even process what was happening, she was flown by emergency helicopter to Phoenix Children’s Hospital. After testing, CT scans, ultrasounds, and X-rays, doctors discovered that Lilly has a diaphragmatic hernia—her stomach and intestines had moved into her chest cavity, crowding her tiny lungs and heart.
She is scheduled for life-saving surgery in the next 24–48 hours. My heart breaks that she has to go through this, but I know she is strong, and I am holding on to hope and faith for her healing.
As you can imagine, this has turned our world upside down. Between the medical bills, being away from home in another city, and the time both her dad and I have to take away from work, the financial burden is already overwhelming.
This GoFundMe is to help cover:
* Lilly’s medical bills (emergency transport, surgery, hospitalization)
* The loss of work as we focus on caring for her and her older brother, Roman
* Housing, food, and other expenses while we’re away from home
If you are able to help—through a donation, sharing Lilly’s story, or simply keeping her in your prayers—we would be so deeply grateful. Every bit of support means we can focus fully on being by our daughter’s side.
Baby Lilly is our light, our heart, and our joy. We believe she will make it through this and grow into the strong, happy little girl she’s meant to be. Thank you for lifting her up in love and standing with us during this difficult time.
With love and gratitude,
Kristen & Zach
