Love My Way... For My Friends In Need, Part 2

My name is Frank Coleman, and I am organizing this fundraiser to help my friend and colleague, John Ashton, best known as the former lead guitarist for The Psychedelic Furs. He and his beautiful family, Catherine, Oliver, and Tallulah, are trying to survive another year while navigating the awful realities of John's stage 4 prostate cancer diagnosis.

We've all been deeply moved by the absolute tidal wave of love and support they've received, from so many people around the world, since John was diagnosed in 2021. A few deserve special mention, for they are superstars both on and off the stage.

Our dear friend, Gail Ann Dorsey, organized a GoFundMe for the Ashtons when his treatments first began. I recommend you read it. She tells their story with such grace and eloquence. In fact, if you haven't already, go read it now. I'll wait right here. ;)

The outpouring of support was INCREDIBLE, and we are all so tremendously grateful!

Then, in July of last year, another dear friend, Richard Fortus, organized a special auction with Schecter Guitars, Guns 'N' Roses and The Psychedelic Furs, which was a huge success and gave the family a much-needed shot in the arm.

This brings us to today.

It's now January 2023. John's treatments began in August 2021. He's had one session of Brachiotherapy, followed by 25 sessions of radiation treatments to target the tumor and surrounding lymph nodes. He's currently in treatment and receiving hormone therapy, plus a clinical trial drug protocol until August of this year.

Despite his best efforts, he hasn't been able to find work since June of last year.

The man is one of the most influential guitarists of our generation. He is my musical hero, my bandmate, and my friend. He and his family could really use your help.
