Love Like Lynn

To know my mom is to love her. She has a gift of making everyone feel so important to her. Once you meet her there’s no guessing why people call her “Mama Lynn” because she is a “mama” to so many. She has the biggest heart and is the most giving person you’ll ever meet. Just being around her makes you want to #LoveLikeLynn

She is currently in the fight of her life. 25 days ago she was admitted with COVID-19 to Vanderbilt University Hospital while on a trip to move my little brother to college. She has been in the MICU since the day after she was admitted due to respiratory failure. We have had a lot of ups and downs over the last 25 days and at this point there is no real end in sight. Her latest imaging has shown her pneumonia is worsening and her doctors have made it very clear that if her oxygen tanks again they will have no choice but to intubate her.

Currently the plan is to treat her with her third series of steroids and immunoglobulins and hope a positive change occurs. The plan once she is more stable is to go to a long term acute care facility as she will need oxygen, physical, and occupational therapy for an extended period of time.

Now for the “fund” part of this GoFundMe, since mom is hospitalized 500+ miles from home there are travel expenses associated with family going to and from Nashville. We are also expecting a large hospital bill, as well as costs for the facility she will be going to once she leaves the hospital. But the most costly expense we are facing is the medical transport to get her back to Florida. We are working with a case manager on figuring these things out and I will update everyone as I get more information.

With that being said, while every dollar helps we do believe in the power of prayer more than anything so if you could continue to keep her in your prayers that would mean more than anything.
