Hi my name is Julee I’m a Walker cousin to Amanda Bramwell and I have been in close contact with family members as to how we can best help during this difficult time. I know they are too modest to ask for the help so I wanted to start this Gofundme on a larger scale so that many hands can make light work.

Amanda has quietly been battling inoperable stage IV colon cancer for 4 years and has been through so many treatments over these years including 1 1/2 years of aggressive chemotherapy, radiation, infusions, oxygen treatments, radical diet changes, endless medications, she has fought a hard uphill battle. Almost two years ago she was finished her last chemo treatment and was told “no evidence found” after a scan in January 2023. I think collectively we all felt our prayers had been finally been answered. Just 6 months later a follow up scan revealed all the cancer was back progressed in her colon, liver, and lungs. Her option for surgery was no longer on the table. Our hearts have been broken that this family and their courageous mother has have to endure this measure of heartache. Last March she had an emergency surgery since the tumor had grown too large a colostomy bag had to be placed. While this improved a small area of her life we knew it would be temporary relief. We do not have an exact timeline but have watched her health steadily decline as she loses energy and stamina. Last month in September one of her lungs had filled with fluid and had to be drained. As a result she has started in home hospice care.

In May on an impromptu trip I had the opportunity to ask Amanda the hard question, “What do you want to do with your time left, is there a bucket-list item I can help you cross off?” She quietly replied through tears, “I want to cook in my kitchen for my children, I want to attend their football games that is what I want.” Amanda is the very best mother, ever patient and unconditionally loving of her 5 children ages 14, 12, 10, 6 & 4 years old. Of course her response gutted us to hear and we wish we could buy her all the time in the world for herself and her beautiful family.

I am hoping and humbly asking if you can donate to help with outstanding medical bills, money for meals, help with gas, or any of the foreseeable expenses. Some of you have contributed previously, I just want you to know how grateful the family is for your help and I know they couldn’t ask anymore from you.
