We have started this Go Fund Me to support our dear friends Gary & Jennifer Arellano during this difficult time. Their son Isaiah was recently diagnosed with cancer. Isaiah is a loving, caring, and wonderful 16-year-old who loves the Seahawks and wrestling. He has an awesome head of hair and a beautiful smile. A few weeks ago, he suffered an injury during wrestling at school that led to the discovery of a large tumor that was then determined to be Sarcoma cancer. This type of cancer is called the UNFORGIVING CANCER. If feeds on the body and lungs.
Isaiah and his family have a long battle in front of them as well as overwhelming expenses that unfortunately come with a cancer diagnosis. The average cost associated with childhood cancer in 2018 was $833,000 for one child for medical costs and loss of income. They will incur costs for travel to and from Doctor appointments and treatments. They will have to spend extra money on hospital food, childcare, parking and much much more. Through your support we hope to ease their burden as much as we can so they can focus on Isaiah and his fight.
We will continue to post updates on Isaiah’s progress as we can. More test results are expected on Friday 2/5 to determine if the cancer has spread to his bones or his lungs. Then next week Isaiah will have to have a chemo port put in and be admitted to the hospital to start his first round of Chemotherapy. The Doctors have said it is going to be a long battle. It is going to make him very sick and he will need blood and platelet transfusions as well as his parent's strength.
