We are Adam’s People—family and friends of Adam Thompson. We are raising money for Adam and his family in their time of need. Adam and Roxann aren’t the type of people who broadcast their business, so this news may come as a shock to all who read this.

If you know Adam, you already know he’s one of the real ones. The kind of person who shows up for his friends, who lives loud, who’s never met a song he didn’t want to sing at the top of his lungs or a mosh pit he didn’t want to be in the middle of.

A few months ago, Adam was diagnosed with ALS—also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. ALS is a progressive, terminal illness that affects the nerves in the brain and spinal cord. It slowly takes away your ability to move, to speak, to swallow, and eventually, to breathe.

There’s no cure.

Adam’s speech is already affected, and his mobility is starting to go. He can still talk, but it’s difficult to understand him now. Watching this disease move through his body has been heartbreaking—but true to who he is, Adam keeps showing up. He’s still trying to crack jokes. Still finding joy in music. Still fighting.

And so is Roxann—his wife, his best friend, his concert buddy. She’s working two jobs right now, trying to keep everything afloat. But this is a battle no one should have to fight alone.

This fundraiser isn’t about miracles. It’s about sustaining Adam’s life with dignity, comfort, and peace. With the right resources, we can help him stay in his home, manage his care, and hold on to the parts of life that still bring him joy.
