Love Is All You Kneed

Hey, y'all! First off, I want to thank you for your time. It means a lot! I'll try to make this short and sweet. At the beginning of July, I suffered a knee injury while playing at a weekly pick-up basketball game. After multiple appointments, an X-RAY and finally, an MRI, I was diagnosed with a severe bucket handle tear of the meniscus in my right knee, which requires surgery. This is the knee I had ACL reconstructive surgery on five years ago. It's been a journey, to say the least.

I'm now on the other side of a successful meniscus surgery! They were able to sew my meniscus back together rather than remove this crucial cushion. This will help preserve the longevity of my knee for years to come. I'm SO grateful that insurance will cover the surgery, plus physical therapy. But my recovery will be extensive, which means taking at least 2-3 months off of work as a nanny so that I can focus on regaining my mobility. Because of this, I’m facing a bit of a mountain regarding my living expenses. I’m coming to you, humbly, for your support.

I know times are tight right now for all of us. If there’s anything you feel inspired to share, it will help tremendously as I get back on my feet - literally - and overcome this setback. Any contributions will go to living expenses which include rent, bills, food and other necessities.
