Help Us Fight for Auntie “Sessa”

On September 7th, our family’s life was turned upside down. My Auntie “Sessa” was found on the floor — unresponsive, barely breathing, and blue from lack of oxygen. She was rushed to the hospital, placed on life support, and admitted to the ICU. We didn’t know if she would survive.

Since that day, she’s has been through every test imaginable. She’s battled a 104° fever, heart rhythm problems, and even moments where her heart stopped completely. Doctors still don’t know exactly what’s causing this, but we do know she is fighting every single day.

Now, she has made it to the step-down unit of the ICU — a blessing we are so thankful for — but she is still not herself. She woke up confused, unable to recognize the people who love her most. Her memory is gone, her words are scattered, and she needs round-the-clock care.

Her son Jonathon has not left her side. He’s been her voice, her advocate, and her comfort through all of this. But caring for his mom 24/7 means he hasn’t been able to work and support his own family — his wife and their three children — all while medical bills continue to pile up. No family should have to choose between being there for the person they love and paying their bills.

We are asking for help — not just to cover her hospital and recovery costs, but to give Jonathon the ability to stay by her side without losing everything in the process.

Auntie “Sessa” is the heart of our family. She is loving, strong, and has always been there when others needed her. Now she needs us.
