Our dearest friend Larry has an enormous battle ahead; one that we hope with your help will be lessened to some degree. Larry has had diabetes and hypertension for years and is now in kidney failure. He has only 5% kidney function left. He is in immediate need of dialysis, followed by a kidney transplant. He is still in the very beginning stages of figuring out what happens next and when. As of now, Larry has no insurance. He has been in the hospital since Saturday, November 10, and it appears he won’t be released anytime soon. The cost of his hospitalization, the dialysis, his future transplant, his bills, his rent and time lost from work, etc., are simply terrifying. He needs this immediate care to save his life, and he shouldn’t have to worry about how he can get it or worry about losing his home. We have absolutely no idea of the numbers we are talking about yet, but we do know it won’t be small. Larry gives so much of himself on a daily basis to so many people and in return he asks for nothing. He has students at the high school where he teaches classes who look up to him and count on him. He’s a constant inspiration to countless people. He is a mentor and a friend. He is the smile that brightens the room. He is the “You Can Do It” voice cheering on all the underdogs who think they can’t. He’s has the biggest heart and he is a dear friend. Please help us help him. Please show some Love for Larry.
