LOVE FOR YUME

Our dear friend Johnny (Yume Soul) has been let go from his job due to chronic health issues and needs our help.

With symptoms including internal bleeding, seizures, and anemia, the doctors available to him have not yet been able to come up with a proper diagnosis. Between paying for medication, testing, rent and groceries, Yume is in an extremely vulnerable position now that he has been deemed unfit to work. The most welcoming face in the brooklyn hip-hop producer community, Yume has always been focused on bringing the local scene together and providing a space for hiphop culture to thrive for producers and artists alike. Throwing monthly shows with his groups Supply Chain Radio and previous group Brooklyn Beat Syndicate, as well as collaborating with just about every group you can think of in the NYC area, Yume's passion for inclusivity and providing up and coming artists an opportunity to be heard is wildly recognized.

The Johnny that we know is full of fire, compassionate, and is a relentlessly hard worker with the best intentions. His music speaks wonders to the depth of his soul and struggles he’s faced.

His close friends and family have been doing the best that they can to support him over the past few months as things have continued to get worse. It’s hard to imagine someone we all know as a leader in our community needing our help, but with this fundraiser we hope we can show him the power of the community that he has helped build, and the love that we all have for him.

As his friends, peers, and people who have been touched by his music, we ask that you contribute what you can to help our friend survive the difficult road ahead.
