Love For the Sheltraw Family

Donation protected
Yesterday, the Sheltraw family received the official diagnosis that Trinity has Burkitt Lymphoma Stage 4 Cancer. Although this is a very aggressive form of cancer, the Oncologist is very optimistic with the chemotherapy treatment he has put together for Trinity’s recovery. Statistically with this type of cancer, there is a 90% recovery rate with Chemotherapy treatment.

Tom is currently with Trinity in her hospital room in the ICU and they have already began chemotherapy treatments. The oncologist has put together a Chemotherapy schedule for the next six months that is pretty aggressive. because she is stage four, the cancer has spread to all of her organs and also her bones. As far as how Brynn and Tom are doing, it has certainly been a roller coaster of emotions this past week.  They believe the Lord will allow her to walk through this next difficult cancer season of life, but He will be with her every step of the way.

She will pretty much be in the hospital for one week, home for two weeks, and then back in the hospital for an additional week. This will be the cycle for the next six months. Tom will be spending the full week in the hospital with her whenever she goes to the hospital.

The Sheltraw family will need funds that come from Tom's missed work, extraneous medical expenses and for treatment.  Right now, they are trusting on their faith and are deeply grateful to everyone who has offered to help.

They exemplify hope, worship, trust and gratitude.  No one can love the Sheltraw family without leaving them filled with the same Spirit.
