On September 14, Jason Roberg passed away after surviving years of immense health challenges related to his Type 1 Diabetes.

Jason and his wife Crystal were married for 25 years. Jason and Crystal were best friends who loved each other dearly, made each other laugh daily, and supported each other through the highest highs and the absolute lowest lows. Crystal has worked in non-profit higher education for decades, and is a key member of the Whitworth community, where she has served for over 11 years.

Their greatest joys have always been their daughters, Julia and Chloe. Jason also loved his dogs, cooking for his family, and God. Through long seasons of poor health Jason and Crystal have relied on God for their strength in ways that have made an impact on everyone they've come in contact with. Day in and day out, the Robergs have been examples of the power of gratitude in the face of adversity, and what it really means to "walk through the valley of the shadow of death, and fear no evil."
