My name is Nikki Bethka and Lisa Leo is my best friend. Her family means a great deal to me. As many of you already know, Lisa and Steve Leo have two beautiful two-year-old twin boys, Luca and Dominic. Luca was born with a medical condition causing him to have a trach, which has not been an easy obstacle to overcome.

On August 19th, 2024, Luca had a scheduled single-stage laryngotracheal reconstruction with decannulation. He was sedated and on a vent for 10 days with multiple setbacks, which has required an even longer hospital stay. He has been in the hospital since then, fighting to get better. His parents have not left his side much at all, with Lisa being there during the days and Steve being there at night, never leaving Luca alone. This has left both of them out of work unpaid.

On top of the medical bills, they also have their daily bills that need to be paid. I know how much everyone loves their family. They did not want to ask for anyone’s help, so I am here doing it for them because they deserve it. Their family has been through so much.
