Love for the Goodman Family

There are moments that no family is truly prepared for and  pain that is too deep to bear. Barbara Goodman has always been the heart of her family. She is a beloved wife to her husband Ronald to whom she had a happy marriage of 54 years. She raised her daughter Wendy and her son Eric, and later in her life became a grandmother to four (Maurene, Trent,  Parker and Max). She had a wonderful life filled with love and joy. But in  late October, the Goodman family received the devastating news that Barbara was diagnosed with metastatic Stage 4 pancreatic cancer. While we knew that the eventual prognosis was poor, she had was determined to fight. She had previously been in good health and had her beloved family to live for. Sadly, less than three months later, her fight is drawing to an end. After repeated infections and bouts of sepsis, she has been brought home to spend her final days in the loving arms of her family. 

Barbara has always been the heart of her family, the center of gravity that everything revolved around. Holidays were celebrated at her table and she never failed to rise up to help those around her. She spent her career in the medical field, managing dental offices and helping others. She enjoyed traveling and instilled in her children and grandchildren a great love of life.  Barbara was always ready with a smile, a hug, and whatever support her family might need. The prospect of losing her has been devastating.

The proceeds for this fundraising effort will go towards Barbara's medical expenses and to help give her family a way to honor her life and memory.  The Goodman Family will also set up a memorial fund in Barbara's honor to help others battling pancreatic cancer. We thank you all for your help in remembering Barbara and giving her the memorial that she deserves.
