Róisín Ní Mhórdha, a dear friend and vibrant member of our Sullivan County, Catskills community, was in a serious bicycle accident in Callicoon, NY on May 30th. Róisín sustained major injuries including a broken collarbone, a punctured lung, and ten broken ribs. She was transported by helicopter to a hospital equipped with a Trauma Intensive Care Unit. Thankfully, her strong, Irish spirit and gorgeous smile are intact, but as you can imagine, the long road to full recovery has come with astronomical costs for her medical care and rehabilitation. She needs our help! Róisín is a person of genuine kindness and generosity which she brings lovingly to her personal relationships and also to our Catskills community.
With longstanding ties to Callicoon, Cochecton, Narrowsburg, and Livingston Manor, Róisín has been a wonderful ambassador for the area and an active supporter of the local business communities. Working in hospitality, and drawing upon her years of PR experience, she helped organize, fundraise, and promote the inaugural Deep Water Literary Festival and the 2018 Big Eddy Film Festival for the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance. She is a member of the 2023 Leadership Sullivan Group of the Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce.
Róisín has given so much of herself and her talents to others, it is now our turn to help and support her. Please donate to Love and Support for Róisín, so that our dear friend can get back to her important role in our community that she loves so much.
