Love for Norah (& support for her medical bills!)
Donation protected
On Saturday, November 12, Emily and Jim experienced a parent's worst fear, finding their daughter, Norah (7), unresponsive and struggling to breathe. An ambulance took Norah to Children's where they worked to get her stabilized and admitted to the pediatric intensive care unit.
Norah tested positive for Influenza A and had a rare and severe immune reaction that has caused swelling and inflammation in her brain. Over the past two weeks, Norah has undergone multiple CT scans, MRIs, and other therapies to treat the flu and minimize further brain injury. Since being admitted, she has made some great improvements but every step is slow and the road will be long to recovery.
Hi, my name is Laura and we are neighbors of Jim and Emily (and our sons are close friends of Norah's), and we thought the least we could do is help remove some of the stress of having their daughter in the ICU for so long. Jim and Emily have been staying in hotels near Children's since Norah was admitted so one or both of them can always be bedside. We know how wonderful and supportive their friends, family, and community members are. We are hopeful that even a little bit of financial help may relieve some of their current stress.
All funds will be used for Norah's medical bills and related expenses.
