Meet Nate. He is a special little boy, fondly referred to as "Nate The Great" . Nate was born with a rare, serious condition known as Heterotaxy Syndrome. This has led to Nate enduring many open heart surgeries and multiple medical interventions throughout his life. He's only 9 yrs old.
Nate has been in hospital since Nov and has endured many procedures and surgeries. This week, he underwent another open heart surgery ... a triple valve replacement. With such a surgery comes many risks. Recently, Nate has been put on life support so that his body and organs can heal so they can start to function as they should. We are praying that his little body will respond and he will be on the road to recovery.
This family has been through so much. Yet through it all Nate continues to be the charming, loving, charismatic warrior we all know and love. His parents, Joey and Carrie continue to be pillars of strength as they are by Nate's side daily, showering him with love.
