Love for Moeez and Aimen

Moeez and his newly wedded bride, Aimen, tragically lost their lives on the afternoon of 12th August, 2021 in a road accident on the M6 near Preston, Lancashire. Their sudden demise has left a void that can never be filled.

Moeez was one of our dearest friends, colleague, and brother. He was also a son, husband and brother to his family. Both Moeez and Aimen were like-minded individuals popular among their friends and family. Both shared a passion for serving humanity and making a difference in the world in their own capabilities. Moeez was the youngest of his three siblings pursuing his dream of becoming a PhD doctor through his research in the UK, while Aimen had recently joined him to pursue her passion of serving humanity through her medical expertise being an MBBS doctor.

In fact, the accident happened on the day Aimen sat for her PLAB exam which would qualify her to practice medicine in the UK. On leaving the exam venue in Manchester, they were making their way up to Scotland for their honeymoon but tragically couldn’t complete the journey they had started.

All their lives, Moeez and Aimen had been looking out for and caring for others, not only in their personal life but also in their careers as professionals. Both had pure hearts that would give anyone in need all that they had. Both husband and wife radiated positive energy in life and will be sorely missed by the community here but most importantly by their families.

The families of Moeez and Aimen are both overseas and it is heartbreaking for them to be so far away and to feel so helpless. Having no family here in the UK, except a cousin, meant that we had to go through different organisations to make funeral arrangements. Their bodies are flown to their home country, Pakistan, so they are laid to eternal rest near their loved ones.

No words can begin to describe the torture the families are going through right now. Two young lives of two very talented people cut too short. Both the families have not asked for anything but time, time to grieve the loss of the beautiful souls that were Moeez and Aimen.

Now is the time for us to come together and assist in any way we can. In this difficult time, the financial burden should not be something the families would need to be concerned about. For them, the passing time is difficult as it is.

Therefore, we, the friends of Moeez, would like to make an appeal to you to help us raise funds so we may be able to assist the families with costs associated with the arrangements.
