Michael Pope - A die hard Falcons fan, NASCAR enthusiast, and skilled gamer. A man who always had a dog in his lap and enjoyed sitting out in the blistering Texas heat. His sense of humor and sarcasm mixed with a huge heart and an adventurous spirit was a contagious combination.

Even Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy was never able to dampen his positive attitude or gusto for life. In his last days, he led his life as he always had enjoying what he loved and without complaint. His only departure from that was tying up some loose ends with his life here on earth and making sure his loved ones, especially Wanda, were ready to let him to run with Jesus.  Maybe a few lines from a song he posted capture it best:

Someday when I die, you're gonna cry
Hopefully I'll be up on in the sky
Now don't spend my money on a box in a hole
That might be my body, but that ain't my soul

Put your feet in the sand, buy you a Coke
Raise it on up, crack a good joke
Tip toes in the water and ashes to sea
Yeah, when I die, go to Hawaii on me

Due to an insurance mishap and probably pretty darn close to what Michael would actually say, his family does need "money for a box in a hole" as they will now be solely responsible for his funeral expenses. Any donation you are able to give no matter how big or small will be greatly appreciated by his family during this time of grief.
