Dear Friends,

Our beloved Mairéad is facing a difficult time due to unexpected medical bills. It turns out long-Covid, an Irish complexion, and years in the sun as a child can lead to some gnarly, and borderline terrifying skin things.

The good news: she is recovering beautifully and nothing was the truly scary kind of malignant.

The bad news: The state of the State means that M has a boatload of unexpected medical expenses. The sudden nature of these expenses has created a lot of stress and uncertainty for her, which exacerbates the long-Covid conditions she's been living with for five years. She is doing her best while navigating this challenging situation. This GFM is an opportunity to help one of our favorite helpers (we all know she won't ask, so I am asking for her).

The funds raised through this campaign will go directly towards Mairéad’s medical expenses—procedures, surgery center fees, office follow ups, new prescriptions, oh my! Perhaps more importantly, it will provide her some much-needed peace of mind.
