Our dear friend, April Long, has spent her life caring for others — now it’s our turn to care for her.
After beginning an exciting new role as an Assistant Principal at an elementary school, April received heartbreaking news just one month before the school year began: she has been diagnosed with Stage 2B aggressive breast cancer.
April’s treatment plan is extensive and exhausting. She faces multiple cycles of chemotherapy, followed by surgery, more chemotherapy, and potentially radiation. Despite the challenges ahead, April’s strength and faith remain unshaken — but she cannot do this alone.
Why April Needs Our Help
April is a devoted single mom whose world revolves around her two amazing children — one in college and one just beginning their freshman year of high school. She works tirelessly to provide for them, covering both of their insurances and raising them on her own after several years without child support.
In just one month since her diagnosis, April’s medical bills, medications, and treatments have already exceeded $8,000 — and she has recently learned that one cycle of chemotherapy alone costs $135,000. On top of the emotional toll of battling cancer, the financial strain has been overwhelming.
How You Can Help
April has always been the first to lend a helping hand, share a smile, or lift someone’s spirits. She’s never met a stranger, and her faith and generosity have touched countless lives. Now, she needs us to rally behind her.
Your donation — no matter the size — will go directly toward:
Medical bills & treatments
Chemotherapy costs
Medications & recovery expenses
Support to cover days missed of work
Together, we can help April focus on what matters most: healing, staying strong for her kids, and fighting this battle with hope and faith.
If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this page with others. Every prayer, share, and message of encouragement means the world to April and her family.
Let’s show April that she is not alone in this fight.
