Our goal is to raise a minimum of $10,000 to initiate this scholarship, which will support students in their pursuit of education and personal growth.

London was a beacon of light in our lives, known for her love of family, contagious laughter, and the beautiful smile that brightened every room. Her passion for soccer, art, and reading inspired those around her, and she held a dream of joining the Air Force to become a commercial pilot. We believe that creating a scholarship in her honor will continue her legacy and empower future generations to pursue their dreams.

Additionally, we will advocate for mental health awareness. We understand that speaking up about mental health challenges and supporting others in their journeys can provide hope for a brighter future. By establishing this scholarship, we aim not only to honor London but also to break the stigma surrounding mental health and educate others on the importance of speaking up when they see someone suffering. Once we reach our initial fundraising goal of $10,000, I will create an account that allows funds to go directly into the scholarship being set up through Dave Minarik's Edward Jones office in Owosso, Michigan. If you would like, I can also share his contact information to give you confidence that we are actively working on this initiative in London’s honor.

Regarding the scholarship qualifications at Ovid-Elsie Area Schools, I’m still finalizing the details. However, I envision a few requirements: students would ideally participate in at least two sports each year, with one possibly being soccer. A minimum GPA of 2.0 would be fair, recognizing that not all exceptional students have perfect grades. Additionally, I’d like to include an essay component where applicants can share their vision for how they would like to change the world or make a difference, especially in the realm of mental health.

London is deeply missed, her laughter echoing through the halls at school. I would like to keep her memory alive by starting this scholarship in her honor to benefit her fellow classmates at Ovid-Elsie Area Schools.
