"Love for Lexy" during PICU hospitalization
Donation protected
As many know, Lexy is back in the pediatric intensive care unit. She has a tracheal tear that caused her oxygen level to drop and resulted in cardiac arrest. They were able to restart her heart after 15 minutes of CPR. Many have reached out asking how they can help while we travel her road to recovery. The funds raised will lessen the financial burden of being in the hospital, bills, and help with getting her handicap accessible van repairs still needed to pass the failed inspection sticker. Lexy will be going back to the OR on Wednesday to see how things are healing in her trachia and get a new custom trach that will bypass the tear while it heals. They will scope again to sée how her healing is going and decide if it is still healing on it's own or if she will need a complicated airway surgery to repair it. When she is safe enough, she will have an MRI to see if the cardiac arrest has caused any more brain damage or neurogical issues. Be sure to check out her page "Love for Lexy" on FB for updates on her journey with Alexander disease. She is truly a warrior. Thank you in advance for donating, sharing, praying and loving Lexy.
