Leonel is a 9 year old boy who is suffering from kidney failure. He is currently admitted to Stony Brook Hospital awaiting a kidney transplant.  His family is in desperate need of support as they are currently focusing all of their time, money, and energy on supporting Leonel.  

There is hope for a kidney transplant in the near future; however, infection has caused a major delay.  Any and all donations are appreciated to offset the financial burdens that are surrounding the family at this time.  

Leonel is a fourth grade student at Hemlock Park.  He has been in and out of school over the last few months but will be hospitalized until he makes a complete recovery.  He will be transferred to a hospital in Manhattan to help provide for all of his current medical needs.  His sister Edith is a second grade student at Hemlock Park, and she is dealing with the significant emotional stress of constantly worrying about her big brother.
