I have created this account on behalf of Laura, a mother of three boys, who was unfortunately diagnosed on January 9, 2023, with Stage Four Lung Cancer. Laura has three boys, each attending one of the elementary, middle, and high schools in the Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District. Laura is a beautiful person inside and out; her boys are her joy. She is a sweet, kind, and loving person now beginning her journey to fight her way to combat this stage four cancer so that she can continue to support her family, especially her three young boys. We hope you will consider providing a monetary donation to help relieve some of the financial stress this unexpected diagnosis has brought on her family.

In 2015, while pregnant with her youngest, Laura was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer and underwent surgery to remove the thyroid. Consequently, she began ongoing treatment to prevent cancer from spreading. She felt like a survivor!

This past December, after experiencing headaches for more than two months, she was advised by her neurologist that her thyroid cancer had progressed to lung cancer, and the lung cancer produced a massive brain tumor. She underwent emergency surgery the next day, December 16, 2022. During one of her follow-up appointments, she learned on January 9, 2023, that while doctors successfully removed the brain tumor, she now has Stage Four Lung Cancer.

This has been devastating and profoundly saddening for Laura, especially being a mother of three young boys. She is strong and committed to doing what she can to combat this crisis. Laura and her family will immensely appreciate any financial support our community can offer. All funds will go to Laura and her family.
