Love for Juan and Lulu (El Camino owners)
Lulu and Juan have been a vital part of the Athens community for years through their restaurant, El Camino. To many of us, they are not just restaurant owners--they're family. Athens is a stronger community because of their presence, their warmth, and their generosity of spirit.
On November 15, Juan was diagnosed with COVID-19 and was admitted to O'Bleness Hospital. Since that time, he has been on a ventilator and undergoing treatment, but improvement has been minimal. He and Lulu have had to temporarily close the restaurant, which is a tremendous hardship because their medical bills and other needs are mounting. Although Lulu has been careful to ask mostly for prayer, there are many in the community who would love to bless her and Juan in ways that are more tangible, and that reflect the kind of generosity they have shown others. Here is our chance to help!
Every dollar raised from this campaign will go directly to the family to be used for medical bills and living expenses. Please give generously.*
