Love for JJ, in memory of his dad, Josh

On Labor Day, Josh passed away suddenly, leaving behind his beloved four-year-old son, Jacob Joshua, “JJ.”. Josh loved JJ dearly, and anyone who knew him knew how much joy he found in being JJ’s dad.

In the midst of this heartbreaking loss, it was discovered that life insurance was not in place. That means JJ is now not only growing up without his father but also without the stability his dad would have wanted for him, and his mother Kirstin, JJ's rock in this incredibly difficult time.

This GoFundMe is a way for us—as friends, family, sisters, brothers, teammates, and community—to come together and show JJ love and support in action. Every contribution will go directly to his care and well-being—helping him grow with the stability, encouragement, and opportunities his dad would have wanted– while honoring Josh’s memory.

He’s curious and full of wonder, a natural leader, with a love for animals, math, and nature. At preschool, his teachers describe him as a wonderful friend and a joy to have in class. Supporting JJ not only honors Josh’s memory but also helps nurture the vibrant future of a child who is already touching lives with his spirit.
