Love for Jay Kohne

Hi

My name is Ruby and I am a friend of two of our amazing film colleagues; Jay Kohne & Tracy Craigen. On behalf of Tracy, Jay's wife both well loved members of our film community and Jay's family I am reaching out about Jay's journey.

On January 20th, with little warning, Jay was diagnosed with a terminal cancer. The projection for his health went from optimistic to not very rapidly. This has forced the need for quick reactions from Tracy and from Jay's family and caught everyone unprepared in many ways to manage this tradegy. Tracy has taken a leave from work as have Jay's children, from their lives;  they have come from other parts of the country to be by his side for this last chapter. The financial impact is something that most of us are not prepared for, especially while dealing with the emotional impact of this tragic story. They are hopeful to have assistance to help cover very large medical expenses, some housing costs to be here for Jay and funeral/memorial fees. Also, to support Tracy while she works to balance herself and eventually re-enter the world at some future point.

From a film colleague to my peers, from a dear friend of Jay's to the others I have had the pleasure of spending time with to those I wish I had met, from one sailor to another, from a friend of Tracy's to another, from one good human to another, we hope you will be able to support to any degree, this request during this most challenging time.
