Love for Emmanuel and his mother, Evangeline

We are reaching out to you today with a sincere and urgent request. Our friend Emmanuel is currently going through an incredibly challenging time as his beloved mother, Evangeline, fell ill with dengue fever while visiting family in the Philippines. Since then, she has been in and out of the hospital, battling pneumonia, coronary heart failure, and early stages of dementia. Emmanuel's sister, Maple, has been tirelessly caring for her since 2020, and as of Emmanuel's arrival in January, they have been working around the clock to provide her with the care she needs.

Unfortunately, Evangeline suffered a bad fall while preparing to return home to New Brunswick, Canada, and broke two bones. With a private medical system in the Philippines, the medical bills are piling up fast, and every new treatment, test, and doctor visit is driving the costs higher and higher. On top of that, Emmanuel and his family are facing the added expenses of purchasing last-minute plane tickets to get their mom home as soon as possible. It's an overwhelming burden, and they need our help.

As Emmanuel's friends, we are doing everything we can to assist him and his family during this difficult time. That's why we have started a fundraiser to cover the medical bills and travel expenses. Our goal is to help alleviate the financial burden so that Emmanuel and his sister can focus on what's most important: getting their mother home safely and helping her recover.

We understand that asking for help is never easy, but Emmanuel is someone who has always been there for his friends and various charities when they needed him. Now it's our turn to return the favor.
