When Covid-19 made itself known earlier in 2020, Ellen rolled up her scrubs, remaining steadfast in her care and concern for her patients. She simply asked, “How can I help others?” And help she did, right up until the time of her own Covid-19 diagnosis just last week.
As we now know, the way in which Covid-19 affects each person is unpredictable. Ellen was no exception with her symptoms quickly turning from manageable to life threatening. Diminished oxygen levels required immediate hospitalization at the Billings Clinic, the place where just days before, she was rendering care for others. Ellen is now battling for her life, surrounded and cared for by her loving and highly skilled co-workers.
With the tables turned, Ellen is in need of our care and support to help see her through this difficult process of healing and regaining her laughter. Would you consider praying for Ellen, specifically that she would be healed and restored in health? We would also ask that you consider a financial gift of support to help offset the costs of medical care that insurance doesn’t cover as well as lost wages during her recovery.
Whether it’s a glass of wine, a day on the mountain skiing, or a tight hug with your loved ones, we encourage you to join in the activities that Ellen loves. We believe that collectively, we can spread the joy and positivity that she brings to every occasion and relationship, so much so that she will feel it in her soul.
We are so grateful for your donations we want you to know how the funds will be used. I'm Christi Beals and in collaboration with Kelly Duffy we got together to ensure everyone who loves Ellen is given timely updates on her critical status. We all went to nursing school together, and that was just the beginning. We have been friends since, all living in Billings, MT, working as nurses in our community. Together we have enjoyed several trips, camping excursions, floating the rivers, skiing the local terrain, and too much wine (if that can even be a thing!).
Collectively we wanted to ensure that Ellen's personal life would remain taken care of to include but not limited to her finances, maintenance of her home, and care for her beloved dog Jack.
We have been in contact with her bank to ensure her living expenses are taken care of while she is incapacitated. Due to legal limitations the bank can only share so much information but we want to ensure that no bill gets overlooked. They have been fantastic to work with and together we are piecing it all together.
As Ellen resumes her health, any funds that have not been used for living expenses will be transferred to her to use for outstanding medical expenses.
All funds raised will go directly towards Ellen's expenses.
