Love for Darnell
Donation protected
Hi my name is Karen Rogers, I am raising funds for my son Darnell Baptiste, I was told 33 years ago I couldn’t have any more children. My gift, It didn’t come without life’s challenges. At 12 he was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, for 20 years he’s been challenged to live life as normal as possible. On November 3, 2022, his life changed, he was hospitalized for 10 days the first time and 4 the next the worst news ever. His team of doctors in Boston Mass. delivered the results that he was now in kidney failure. He was told he could not return to back to work. It could expedite what’s coming..
His kidney are working at 35%, he stands with the possibility of stroke or Heart attack, according to his blood work, Darnell will need dialysis 2/3 times per week, and a donated kidney. We head to Boston on 01/09/2023, to start the process.
Darnell being told he couldn’t return back to wrk was devastating to him any one that knows Darnell knows he’s a hard worker since 13 he’s worked 2 jobs on many occasions. He was a Joclyn camp councilor at 19 to help younger diabetics. He’s been a mechanic for 8 years now a laborer for the past 2- 1/2 years.
His worries were not being able to pay his bills, I have been helping but can only do so much. It’s as well medical, traveling help, life on life’s term are more difficult then ever because our world has changed. Then to be faced with this..
This is not something that will be changed in a few weeks we are looking at some time for all this to come to fruition.
For those of you who don’t know Darnell he’s an amazing person, he’s hardworking, kind hearted, loving respectful man. A son, brother, uncle, a boyfriend to his girlfriend Amber, a great friend with all he went to school with he’s loving at it all. Just an all around great person.
I know we all go thru things in life, if u are unable to help monetarily, please help by sharing this with others. If you find it in you’re heart to give, we thank you and appreciate you.. every little bit counts towards helping him with all the expenses that are and will be occurring, and the hardship he is and will be experiencing from being unable to work.
In advance he thanks you, we thank you, I thank you. God Bless You
