It is with heavy hearts that we share the unexpected passing of Choua Dang Vang. He was a son, brother, husband and most importantly a loving father. After a long battle with COVID-19, he gained his angel wings on Saturday, December 19th 2020.
He was kind, understanding and compassionate. His loud voice filled the room but his heart was kind. He valued family and spent most of his time with his children, grandchildren and pets. Growing up as a farmer, he never lost his passion for raising chickens, pheasants, ducks, doves, pigeons, dogs, and cats. One of his most valuable prides was the beautiful red jungle fowls which are only found in the deep jungle of Southeast Asia.
Choua Dang was also very committed to his Hmong community over the years. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Many saw him as a leader, a problem solver, and negotiator.
Choua Dang is survived by his wife Houa X Vang and 10 children: (XaiSoua, Mai, Bee, Zoua, Blia, Pa, Joe, Gary, Thomas, John); 4 sons-in-law (Nao Fue Thao, Hien Khuu, Cheng Tcha Vue, David Hang); 5 daughters-in-law (See Xiong, Byang Vang, Bee Xiong, Pakou Xiong, and Mai Kou Xiong); 4 brothers; many nieces and nephews and 31 grandchildren whom he help raised.
