All too often, life delivers an unexpected blow. With it comes shock and sadness, maybe even anger and frustration, but also hope. And in Ashley's case, an ultimate belief in the resilience and regenerative strengths of the human body. On Tuesday, July 26th, Ashley suffered an occlusion that affected the left side of her brain. Since that evening, she has experienced the loss of her ability to understand or express language, a lack of motor function in producing accurate speech, and an absence of response on the right side of her body. Yet, Ashley's sense of humor and sassy attitude have both prevailed! To know Ashley is to know grace. She lives to serve, to love, to laugh, and to make the world a more beautiful place. Let's ban together in removing any potential outside stressors for Ashley and her family as she focuses on her path to recovery.
