Love for Alofa: Let’s Conquer Cancer
Donation protected
Dear friends, family, and kind strangers,
My name is Julia & I reach out to you to share the inspiring story of Alofa Avei, my sister-in-law & loving Aunty to my three children, who is bravely facing one of the toughest battles of her life. As a loving daughter, sister, partner, and aunt, Alofa has always been the unwavering rock her family relies on, the first to lend a helping hand, and a source of strength for those around her. Now, she needs our collective support as she navigates this challenging time.
In October 2024, Alofa was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma, a form of breast cancer that has changed her life and the lives of her loved ones. Her treatment plan includes 17 cycles of chemotherapy and immunotherapy, followed by a double mastectomy. This journey has temporarily left her unable to work, placing a significant burden on her family.
As the primary provider, Alofa’s diagnosis has brought emotional and financial challenges. Her devoted partner Nancy (Nanise) is working hard to manage the household and care for their child while supporting Alofa through this difficult journey. Together, they are facing the trials of treatment, and they could use our help.
Alofa has always been a beacon of love and support. Her selflessness and compassion have touched many lives, and now it's our turn to show her the same kindness. Despite the obstacles she is facing, she remains strong and resilient, maintaining her faith in God and building the strength she needs to overcome this fight.
The funds raised through this GoFundMe campaign will directly support Alofa’s journey by covering essential costs, including travel, medical expenses and accommodation for medical appointments in Perth, which is 6418kms away from Kalgoorlie. Your contribution will also help with daily living expenses for her family and any additional support she may need along the way.
We invite you to join us in this effort to uplift Alofa and her family. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference in her journey toward recovery.
If you are unable to contribute financially, please keep Alofa in your thoughts and prayers, and share this page within your networks. Your support, whether through donations or words of encouragement, means the world to Alofa and her family.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
In Samoan, "Alofa" means love - this is our chance to show her what that means ♥️
