Love for Alayna Lopez

In 2004 my at the time 7 year old cousin was diagnosed with Medullablastoma (brain cancer) she had to have a tumor resection removing the tumor, followed by chemotherapy and radiation.  During that time she had developed  CMS Cerebellar mutism syndrome. It consists of diminished speech progressing to mutism, emotional lability, hypotonia, and ataxia.  Which meaned that she had to relearn everything. Walk, talk, eat everything!! She was left with 90 percent of her eye sight gone and still uses a walker to get around.   But she is a fighter.
Current day- On March 4th 2021 my Aunt decided to get her head shaved for St. Baldricks  to help raise funds for pediatric cancer and to celebrate Alaynas 16 year being Cancer free.  Little did they realize a week and a half later their world would be turned upside down.  On March  17th 2021  Alayna went to the hospital with excruciating stomach pain.  After tests they found a tumor in her colon creating a blockage.  She was transferred to another hospital where she underwent surgery to remove the tumor.  She had biopsies taken.  They found cancerous cells in the lymph nodes. Yes colon cancer..  The road ahead will be long.   My Aunt had a disscussion with one of the doctors.  Come to find out that children who had Medullablastoma as a child can develop colon cancer as a young adult. Its called  Turcot Syndrome.
My Aunt met with the oncologist and they will start with Chemo and later possibly gene therapy. My Aunt was working two part time jobs to support the family but will be unable to continue that  as she will need to stay home and give the care that Alayna needs. She will be taking her to countless appoinments, receiving training in the chemotherapy protocol,  and assisting her at home.  Once chemotherapy begins it will be a treatment of 3 weeks and 1 week off for 6 months.  Iam starting this go fund me to try and give my aunt the help she needs to get through this financially.   If you could donate, even if just a little it would be so appreciated.  Thank you
