Save Medallion Australian Shepard Kennel

if you can find it in your hearts and financially able to help my Auntie Sharon. She has been lovingly caring for her animals for over thirty (30) years. Aunt Sharon created and began Medallion Australian Shepard Kennel (MASK) out of the love she had for her fur babies. The kennel has grown substantially.

When Aunt Sharon fell on hard times..she listened to the woman she believed was her dear friend. This friend offered to come and purchasethe property at a substantial reduction in price to help Aunt Sharon get back on her feet with the promise of not selling until my sister could take over MASK AND CARRY On OUR aunts legacy. At the time Aunt Sharon choose to care for her fur babies (MASK) than anything else. Her friend, I’ll call, Kate came to the rescue…so to speak. Kate was paid rent monthly from our aunt while Aunt Sharon carried all other obligations of the property financially and otherwise. Now less than 8 years later, Kate gave Aunt Sharon 30 days to vacate the property and remove the kennels. Kate decided to sell. Kate gave no concern for the fur babies or Aunt Sharon’s  welfare. My sister and brother in law are doing everything possible to assist in this situation. She is trying to find a property that can house Aunt Sharon and MASK. There isn’t any way for Aunt Sharon to financially assist.

The fur babies housed at the kennel haven't known anyone or any other location ever. Now they are having to be fostered to strange people in strange homes. They are terrified. Aunt Sharon is an emotional wreck.

Since this has come to my attention… I have found websites where KATE has fraudulently posted and claimed that she is the owner and breeder of MASK.

 

Please help us save MASK. Please help us get funding together so my Aunt can continue to bless others with the love of a fur baby from Medallion Australian Shepard Kennel.

 

The following is a short story from my Aunt. Please share and please help us save MASK with whatever you can. Our family will be forever grateful.

In 1999 I sold 2 puppies, one puppy red merle male and one black tri female. The red merle became a champion but the blk. tri female was put down at 8mos. She had a rare cancer of the spine. The owner had just lost her older female 2 wks. before and was very sad. She called me and said she really wanted another puppy, I happened to have a blk tri female about 5mos old on the grooming table when she called, I told her “come and get her (no charge). Kathy was here the next day, which was the start of a new friendship!

Soon after returning to Alaska, Kathy became a show person, she did very well. After a while, I gave her another girl “Phoebe” also another was made. Somewhere along the way I gave her another girl, blue merle (I think her name was Piper) she was run over as a puppy.

Time passed and Kathy and Frank moved to Big Bear. We saw more of them and became closer friends. As all of this was going on I was getting a divorce. The divorce was long and drawn out. This was from 2005 through 2011. In between that time the judge ordered me to refinance my house or sell it. Either situation would enable me to buy my husband out of his share of our home approximately $70K.At that time the property was worth $350K and we owed $150K.Having at that time approximately 15 Australian Shepard’s in my kennel and no place to put them I refinanced the property. The Judge ordered $1800 monthly alimony, but that never happened. I was keeping up with things when I heard about a modification to help people have a lower payment. I looked into that thinking that would help to have a lower payment. I called and the company asked if I was behind in my payments, I was not. The advised that in order to get a modification, you needed to behind 3 months in payments. So I got 3 months behind and signed in for the modification help. I as well as thousands of other people after a year did not receive the help promised (modification).What followed if foreclosure. Here I am moving everything out of the house and not knowing what to do with my dogs. I had a rescue dog named “Big Dog” I tried to take him to a no kill shelter and they refused to take him because of his size.

With all of this going on Kathy was in and out, she was at the shelter with me when they would not take Big Dog. Then she disappeared-Then one day (had not seen her in years) she was looking for a stud dog. Kathy had never been to my place but liked it very much. She said “Sharon you can’t lose this place”! I told her there wasn’t much I could do my house is in foreclosure! She left and then called me about an hour later and asked if I could meet her in Santa Ana Ca., to sign some papers. I told her yes. Kathy had found someone that had a way to stop the foreclosure, I was on my way to Santa Ana. The papers turned out to incorrect, I filed them and this stopped the foreclosure. Kathy was in and out of things at this time.

 

The next step was going to court. Kathy came into the picture a little more now, she knew her way around the court house. It was probably another year of going to court. In the meantime, Frank, Kathy’s husband was not doing well in Big Bear. It was presumed his health issues were from the altitude, I told Kathy they could stay with me as long as they needed. They did that, and Kathy went with me to all court dates. Kathy was also present at the PRO S.A. Clinic that was held in Federal Court and this was interesting. There had not been cases such as this with homes, and the lawyers didn’t know what to do because there had never been a case and the lawyers had precedence to review. I told the judges “God had sent angels Mary, Karen, and Kathy but not an angel with a law degree”! We won, God is good! We were now going to court so Kathy could buy the house she did price, $99K.

Kathy and Frank were still staying with me and Frank continued to deteriorate. Frank went to Washington State for treatment, Kathy stayed behind with me and took care of their Big Bear property.

It seems to me the trial took about a year, I told everyone that God had sent my friends to help and I only needed an angel with a law degree. The settlement was November 11, 2012. The judge at the settlement was my angel. Kathy bought the house and pretty much she lived with me in the winter and traveled and lived in Alaska in the summer. This has been going on for 10 years.

I still had a roof over my head and a home for my dogs. Kathy like the dogs and going to dog shows. Kathy put me on a checking/savings account as a signer. The puppy money I earned went into that account for the dog’s needs, it also paid for things that was needed around the house. I have paid rent and all utilities with my social security checks. By the way, I am 81 years young.

After going through all of this, Kathy wants me out of the house so she can sell, she says “she has to sell this property to buy a home in Idaho”. I probably will lose my dogs, kennel property is hard to find. Kathy is demanding I pack up, find places for the dogs as soon as possible July 1st. I put her name on a lot of my dogs paperwork because I thought she would feel more connected when she was showing them. When I said I cannot just pick up and go she said she would sell my dogs. Later she said if I leave she will sign the dogs back to me? Is this blackmail? I cannot believe this happening! I thought she was a great person for years (1999-2021). Kathy says it’s all about the money! I had the perfect kennel property!

Oh well life goes on, God must have another place for me. So I am asking if there are people out there that would maybe know of a property or maybe help to keep this property!
