This is extremely difficult for me. I have always prided myself in the ability to help others. It's been my life goal to help all in need. It's in my blood. It's a beautiful gift passed from my mother, to myself. To help others brings such joy. Now, in a great time of need, I swallow my pride and humble myself to all my friends and family, near and far and ask for your help.
For those who do not know me or my situation, My name is Kristina. I'm a wife and a mother to two teenage boys. I work in assisted living, helping elderly and learning many wonderful stories of great people who came before us and helped forge our country into what it is. I also volunteer time to my community as a member of our local EMS. Both allowing me to help others in need, but sadly not my own situation. My husband has been a loyal employee to a local business for nearly 10 years. Unfortunately, the past 5 years or so have been difficult health-wise for him. He's found himself hospitalized numerous times with a different ailments and once he's up and kickin' from one, he's hit with another. Our oldest son has a genetic disease called Cystic Fibrosis. He's the bravest kid I know. Fighting this disease every day of his life. Knowing there's no cure, currently, but holding on to the hope that maybe someday he'll be free of this terrible burden. His health has been on a slow downward slope and other concerns arise, making more visits to specialists needed.
Our family has reached hard times. Drowning in medical debt, finding it hard to reach the surface to take a breath before being knocked back down and drowned once again. Trying to make ends meet with insurances, co-payments and medications for my son and husband. I fear for our future and am overwhelmed with our position. This is where your help is needed. Please help any way you can. every little bit is greatly appreciated, even a share will be wonderful. All funds raised will go to helping our family climb out of the black pit of medical debt and give us a bit of breathing room to help us prepare for the future. If you cannot give anything, that's okay... Thank you for taking time to read my little story and maybe find it in your heart to help spread the word and save my family. We appreciate and love you all!
