Love brings you HOME.

While fighting to save the life of the woman that gave birth to her, one of our dearest friends is facing a great deal of heartache. My friend, Kaity Packer, learned of her mother’s medical condition on February 5th, 2023. She’d been having difficulty breathing and experienced an asthma attack that resulted in cardiac arrest. Claudette has suffered from a brain injury, which means that she’s alive but not out of the woods yet. We are optimistic that she will make a full recovery one-day thanks to her tremendous will to live, along with the assistance of a ventilator.

If you’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting Kaity’s mother, you’ve surely experienced firsthand how loving and nurturing she is. She’s a biological mother of one but has served as a mom to many.

As her hospital stay approaches the two-month mark, We are exhausting every possible option to transport Claudette closer to home. Home is where she can receive around-the-clock care and be monitored closely. New York is home to both Claudette and her daughter, Kaity. Piedmont Health Systems has provided reasonable care, but we’ve currently hit an impasse concerning future care. Insurance has done a great deal but unfortunately, they do not cover transportation. Due to Claudette’s delicate condition, she must be airlifted to the facility in New York for proper treatment. Only by being airlifted can we guarantee a secure arrival in New York.
