love and support of our dear Lucy ♥️

Dear friends, family, and well-wishers,

We are setting up this GoFundMe page for our very dear friend Lucy.

After beating breast cancer 5 years ago, Lucy is now faced with a recurrence that has spread to her bones, throughout her body. Her diagnosis is stage 4 metastatic breast cancer.

Kate and I have been working in the bodywork field for a long time. We have approximately 38 years of experience between us. We know that it takes commitment, consistency, and a huge amount of courage, support, and resources to heal yourself.

It takes enormous energy and strength to go through the treatments, but also to live your day-to-day life.

The achievement of this will cost money. Our hope is that if we all give what we can, even the smallest amount, it will provide a pool of resources that Lucy can use to cover medical expenses, supplements, get treatments such as acupuncture, craniosacral therapy and breathwork as well as taking care of house cleaning.

Lucy’s husband and two young sons will also be supported by this pool of financial resources. The ripples of kindness go far and wide.

Please help us help them in their time of great need, as we may also be supported in our times of need.

“Dear Family and Friends,

I write to you all with a heavy and an optimistic heart, both - this is not what I had hoped would be in my future but here I stand. As most of you know, just as I reached the 5-year anniversary milestone of my breast cancer diagnosis this October, I was faced with a recurrence which has metastasized to my bones, many bones throughout my body. My diagnosis is stage 4 metastatic breast cancer.

It has been almost 3 months to get here, with a treatment plan which is still evolving. Navigating the medical world is enormously challenging and I am worn out. I wholeheartedly know I can beat this. At worst, the doctors say they cannot cure me but they can treat me for the rest of my life. I believe I can cure this and will need a team of loving supporters to help me achieve this goal.

Asking for help is really hard for me and I know I must let you all know how I am and what I need. In asking, I face a vastly unhelpful inner voice, one that tells me I should be able to cope, to bear hard things alone. So please know that just by reading this you are helping me heal. My energy levels wax and wane. Some days I feel perfectly okay and on others, I feel utterly wiped out.

Any funds donated will help us meet the fast accumulating medical bills, additional treatments and much needed house cleaning. All will be a tremendous help and put me on my path to recovery.
