Love and support for Yvette

On the night of September 8th, Yvette endured a fall that required her to be transferred to ECMC with a life-threatening injury. She was immediately transferred to the trauma ICU where she stayed until surgery was done on the 16th. The surgery was to stablize her 3 neck fractures. In addition to her neck fractures, she obtained a skull fracture, multiple facial fractures, a broken eye socket and a broken nose. She also broke her clavicle, a disc in her thoracic and 6 ribs with multiple fractures in each.
Yvette is the strongest person we know who always puts others before herself. She, unfortunately, has a long road to recovery requiring 24-hour care. She will also need physical and occupational therapy several times a week. In addition to therapy, she will have to be seen by several different doctors over the next couple of months.
Many medical expenses are not covered by her insurance. With the hospital bill, homecare and follow-up doctors appointments, it is quickly adding up. She would be greatly appreciative of any help to relieve some stress during this difficult time.
