Help support Vernon & Crista financially after an emergency surgery while traveling.
While in the United States for a family wedding, Vernon and Crista faced an unexpected medical emergency on October 5th that led to urgent life saving surgery due to an ectopic pregnancy. It was a frightening and overwhelming time, though by God’s grace, the surgery went well.
After a week recovering at a hotel near the hospital they were able to slowly travel home a week later but the recovery journey will be extensive.
The sudden medical and additional travel expenses as well as time off work for Vernon to be able to be with Crista while she recovers has created a heavy financial strain. Although we’re anticipating most medical bills will be covered by insurance there was some costs paid up front that we are waiting to be reimbursed. We’re hoping to come together as family and friends to help ease some of that burden, support them with day-to-day costs and give them space to focus fully on healing and regaining strength without the stress of having to return to work full time in order to cover expenses.
Vernon and Crista mean so much to so many of us, and this is our chance to show them the same love and care they’ve always given to others. Any amount, big or small, will make a difference and be deeply appreciated.
Thank you for your prayers, generosity, and kindness during this time.
