Traci Shimp, my beautiful pal, has been dealt a really tough hand. In 2019, Traci's husband, Mike, suffered multiple strokes due to an infected heart valve as a result of a congenital heart defect. He survived, but remains severely disabled due to his brain injury.

Traci works as a Nurse in the Pediatric OR, cares for her 3 kids and pup, Tucker, manages everything in their household, while also caring for Mike 24/7. Traci continues to meet her challenges with strength, grace and joy... basically, she is a total BADASS. Her family and pals continue to support her, and always will, because we are all in this together.

But wait... in addition to her already very full load, TRACI IS JOINING HER 3 KIDS AND GOING BACK TO COLLEGE to pursue her Masters of Science in Nursing at Rowan University to become a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Traci has felt led to pursue this career path in order to help more people and also better provide for her family. Like I said before, my girl is a TOTAL BADASS!

Nathan just finished his junior year at U Del and Traci's twins, Nina and Bradley, will be off to college this fall. Nina will join Nathan at U Del and Bradley is headed to U Conn.

Disability benefits end when kids turn 18, so Traci needs our help more than ever! The funds raised will be used to help pay for Mike's various therapies and also for caregivers to stay with him when Traci is at work.
