Hi, my name is Emily Yaklyvich and I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of Julie and Jake Roe and their 13 month old son Jackson. All donations go directly to Julie and Jake.

On December 7th what was previously thought to be a stomach bug turned into a life changing diagnosis for Jackson. He had been sick for a couple of days with fatigue, nausea and vomiting. Julie and Jake took him to the local emergency department where he was treated for nausea and sent home. Julie and Jake returned to their local emergency department with Jackson the next day because he still was not doing well. He was deteriorating rapidly and it was determined he was in severe diabetic ketoacidosis. Jackson was airlifted from Ontonagon to Essentia St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth, MN where he was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes.

Jackson is currently in the pediatric intensive care unit and needs to remain in the hospital for several days to stabilize and recover. Julie and Jake have been by his side every step of the way. They both are missing work while he is in the hospital and will have to make many trips back to Duluth in the near future. Julie is self employed and will not be able to return to work for weeks after they are home as they adjust their lives to this new "normal".

Let's show Julie and Jake our support and love while they navigate through this difficult season in their lives. We can take some of their worries away so they can focus on taking care of their sweet Jackson. Your thoughts, prayers and donations are greatly appreciated.
