Love and Support for the Guard Family

Last week we lost a true American Hero, we lost one of the greats. Nicholas Kau'ilokoikaika Franklin Guard.

 

Nick was an Army Green Beret and a Force Recon Marine.  He was a loving father to two beautiful young children, a husband to his soul mate Cydney Guard, a son, a brother, a friend and an uncle to many.  Nick lived his life for his family, for his teammates, for his country. Everything he did was done at 110%. He was the best of the best and worked hard to always do better. He loved hard, he played hard, he worked hard. Nick had a way of being so stoic, so serious, so focused - and then he'd surprise you with a silly drawing in the least expected places, or a burst of laughter that could light up a room. His presence will be missed by so many. To have known Nick, is to be truly blessed.

Nick left us way too soon, and leaves behind his friends and family who will feel the depths of his loss for the rest of time. Although Cydney is a very strong woman, any support given will help to lessen her burden while she navigates raising two small kids on her own. The coming days, weeks, and months will be tremendously difficult....let's come together and do what we can to support this hero's family.  As a combat veteran, Nick has put his life on the line to keep us all safe back at home - whether you knew Nick personally or not - this is our chance to thank and honor him by showing our love and support to his family in their time of need.
