Ryan Kolanz, our precious nephew, had a terrible fall two weeks ago, resulting in a serious traumatic brain injury. He is in the ICU in a medically induced coma, on a respirator. We are praying for his full recovery.
Ryan is married to the wonderful Drea, the love of his life, and has two precious children, Logan (12 years old) and Nebula (5). He is an outgoing, passionate, gentle-hearted, and hard-working guy who loves nothing more than being with his friends and family. His two kids and Drea are the center of his world.
If you have had the opportunity to meet Ry, you know how special his spirit is and the incredible light that he brings to the World. His smile and laugh light up every room that he enters. From being a longshoreman at the port of LA to an LA County Lifeguard, Ryan reveres the chance to serve the community around him. His fervent passion towards life is outlined by his wide-ranging interests including exploring nature, studying astrophysics, training jiu jitsu, listening to great music with friends, surfing, tending to his succulents, hiking Mt. Whitney with his dad, stargazing with his family, and discussing the complexity of the universe - just to name a few! Ultimately, Ryan loves nothing more than the honor of being a loving father, husband, son and brother. These are responsibilities that he cherishes with all of his heart.
Ryan and his family need your love and support. As his family focuses on ensuring that he gets the help he needs and the children are taken care of, they face escalating medical bills, child care expenses, loss of income, and other mounting costs. Please help in any way you can by donating to Ryan’s Fund. Thoughts/prayers are encouraged as well. :)
We are Ryan’s aunts and uncles who have been lucky enough to watch him grow up and find his happiness. We love Ryan and his family, and want to support them with our love and prayers. On behalf of Ryan and his entire family, we appreciate you all so much.
(There is a default 15% tip on the donation page, but there is no need to leave a "tip" on GoFundMe. You can tip "0", or slide the "tip dot" to any amount. Tips go to the GoFundMe company.)
