Patrick was diagnosed with COVID 19 on October 11, 2021 and was admitted to Sentara Norfolk General hospital on October 14, 2021. Upon admission, Patrick was given oxygen for several days due to breathing difficulties.
Despite his condition, on October 26, Patrick and I celebrated his 58th Birthday as well as our 23rd Wedding Anniversary via text messages with other family and friends.
The next day (Oct. 27th), Patrick was moved to the Intensive Care Unit in which he was placed on a ventilator and put into a medically induced coma. As the Doctor explained to me, Patrick's oxygen level from the ventilator was 75....(it should be 0); however, today (Nov. 4th) it's 70 meaning he's slowly making progress, but not out of the woods just yet.
Myself (Schronda); our children; Rico, Patrick, Thaddeus, Dominique and Imani and our grandchildren; Rakiyah, Pr-Shawn, Ariya, Thaddeus, KJ and Malani are his heart and soul. In addition to our immediate family, his siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and countless friends are rallying together and praying for a turnaround in his condition.
His craft & career is cutting hair in his establishment; Pat's Barbershop which has been closed for nearly a month now due to these unforseen circumstances. He misses his clients and I know they miss him too.
Anybody that knows Patrick....knows that he would do anything for anybody. Patrick loves to cook and entertain family and friends all year long.
We as a unit are asking for the love and support of our family and friends to help us through these trying times. No donation is too small...believe me ANYTHING will be helpful in regards to his medical, business and household expenses. I will give periodic updates as best as possible as I learn new information from the doctors. We appreciate and thank you all in advance.
